An article by the ASPCA on Pit Bulls. I think Pit Bulls, as well as Rottweilers, Dobermans, are only as good as their owner. My boxer, Griz, is just a big goof-ball. But put him on the defense, or with Smokey, and he will fight til the death. He has the scars on his face to prove it!

AS a lot of you know, PAWS has saved over 5,000 dogs & cats from the City Shelter for the last 11 years. What a lot of you may not know is that our City Animal Shelter is a kill shelter. That will change this year with your help.
As fellow animal lovers, you need to know about the City Council meeting this Thursday, July 25 at 4:00 p.m. There will be a discussion about the City Shelter, it's shortcomings, how to improve it and how to stop the killing. A large turnout will show the Mayor and others that we are serious in seeing St George become a no-kill city,,. we should be the poster city of animal care instead of the poster city of embarrassing, inadequate,antiquated shelter practices. This is the year for change ,,,with your help we can make this City a place where newcomers and old timers won't be ashamed of our animal practices.
Please forward this to all of your family and friends. You don't have to be a St George resident to get the message across to the Mayor and City Council that a change MUST BE made and made now!
Please take the time this Thursday to go to the City Council meeting to show your support. It's amazing what a crowd can do to politicians!!!
