An article by the ASPCA on Pit Bulls. I think Pit Bulls, as well as Rottweilers, Dobermans, are only as good as their owner. My boxer, Griz, is just a big goof-ball. But put him on the defense, or with Smokey, and he will fight til the death. He has the scars on his face to prove it!

Beware of coyote traps when hiking...

With all the news about coyotes causing more problems, more trappers are trying their luck.  Unfortunately, these traps catch more than just coyotes.  I know from experience how frightening it is for both dog and owner when a dog happens to step in a trap.  Here is a link to hopefully prepare you if this does happen.

Nandy lived with us for almost a year.  For an old dog, she has amazing spirit!  She now lives at Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT.  She is in the "Old Friends" section.  Since she is very outgoing, she is usually one of the "greeters" of the people on tours of Best Friends.

Ashlyn is the PERFECT age - at least, Griz and Red think so.  They follow her everywhere!
